Audrey McClurg M.P.P.
Senior Associate
Audrey brings a passion for health policy to her work with a diverse array of clients, with particular emphasis on advancing their health equity and access goals, incorporating social determinants of health to improve health and reduce disparities. Among other important issues, she focuses on national nutrition assistance programs, having published a comprehensive outlook on these in Health Affairs, policies impacting dual eligibles, as well as prior authorization, interoperability, and related health IT topics. Audrey also works with clients on a variety of issues related to Medicaid, Medicare, and value-based care.
Prior to joining Impact, Audrey interned with the Institute for Medicaid Innovation where she focused on developing fact sheets to illustrate the differences in coverage and benefits across state Medicaid programs. She also worked on racial and ethnic disparities in maternal mortality within Medicaid.
Audrey received a Master of Public Policy from the University of Virginia’s Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy. During her graduate school tenure, she worked with the National Association of Medicaid Directors to address racial and ethnic disparities in Medicaid. Audrey also holds a B.A. in Global Public Health from the University of Virginia. A Boulder, Colorado native, Audrey resides in Washington, D.C.
