Wynne Health Group Contributes Over $50,000 to Health Care-Related Charities in 2019
WASHINGTON, Dec. 12, 2019 — Wynne Health Group demonstrates its commitment to social responsibility by making charitable contributions to not-for-profit health care organizations selected by team members each holiday season. This year, food insecurity, women’s health, addiction and pediatric dental care are among the health care-related causes Wynne Health is supporting.
Social responsibility is a core component of Wynne Health’s mission to “improve health for all,” with the firm committing to donate at least 5% of net profits to organizations serving those in need. “One of the best parts of working at Wynne Health is each of us are encouraged to put a portion of our profits to causes that matter the most to us. I think that is one of the clearest ways we can demonstrate our commitment to improving health and wellness in the U.S.” said Policy Associate Josh LaRosa.
“For me, this annual exercise is personal. Not only is it a generous donation made by the firm to support organizations doing important work, but it also feels extraordinarily validating to work for a firm that supports interests and issues near-and-dear to my heart,” said Senior Vice President Katie Pahner. “Having an opportunity to give in this capacity is truly gratifying,” Pahner added.
Here are just a few of the 14 organizations Wynne Health is supporting this holiday season:
• Inter-Faith Food Shuttle – Recovers and distributes 6 million pounds of food per year, and teaches skills for self-sufficiency including culinary job skills, shopping and cooking healthy on a budget, and how to grow food.
• Every Mother Counts – Works to achieve quality, respectful, and equitable maternity care for all by giving grants and working with partners and thought leaders to increase awareness and mobilize communities to take action.
• UC Health Center for Dependency, Addiction and Rehabilitation (CeDAR) – Saves lives using innovative, evidence-based programs, and provides a meaningful foundation for long-term recovery from addiction.
• America’s Tooth Fairy – Increases access to oral health care by supporting nonprofit clinics and community partners delivering education, prevention and treatment services for underserved children.
Wynne Health Group is proud to support these organizations and all they do to improve health. Wynne Health will continue to work towards achieving its mission of improving health for all, not just during this season of giving, but throughout the entire year.
