Today, the Wynne Health Group officially launched one of Washington’s largest health policy consulting and advocacy practices. Led by Billy Wynne, J.D., former Health Policy Counsel to the Senate Finance Committee, the Wynne Health Group will provide congressional and regulatory lobbying, in-depth policy analysis, strategic consulting, public relations, and Federal grant-related services. Its clients include several members of the Fortune 500, marquee health systems and providers, life science companies, health plans, foundations, state governments, and investment firms.
Billy Wynne has over twelve years of experience providing government affairs services to health care organizations, starting at the then-largest public policy practice in Washington and later building the health policy practice at a boutique lobbying firm. Known for his bipartisan, substantive approach, Wynne also founded Policy Hub, the only comprehensive aggregator of Federal health policy information, in 2012.
In addition to its founder, the Wynne Health team includes former Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services staff and long-time consultant-lobbyist Katie Pahner, M.P.A.; former Blue Cross Blue Shield Association and Advisory Board analyst Devin Zatorski; veteran regulatory lawyer for Johnson & Johnson, PCMA, and Novartis, Michelle Galvanek, J.D.; and former Senator Dianne Feinstein and state and local government staff Dawn Joyce, M.P.H.
“I’m deeply grateful to have an experienced, service-oriented team and forward-looking, patient-centered clients with whom to build an elite health policy and advocacy firm,” said Founder and CEO Billy Wynne. “Our promise to our client partners is they will understand every Federal policy development impacting their goals and be equipped to influence them before they happen. To keep that promise, we deliver a team of skilled consultants and innovative services tailored to address specific client needs.”
“We’re here to make a difference and that begins with delivering superior client service,” said Senior Vice President Katie Pahner, who has worked with Wynne for ten years. “We reject the notion that firms can only have substantive policy depth or strong political acumen and access. We know our clients need both to win on their priorities, so that’s what we give them. I think that’s a big reason why so many of our clients have been with us for so long.”
The innovative client service solutions offered by the Wynne Health Group include the website and e-digest platform, Policy Hub. Policy Hub is a compendium of all relevant Federal health policy developments dating to before passage of the ACA, searchable by topic, key word, and more. Subscribers also receive an email digest each morning, which provides analysis of regulations, legislation, and other developments from the preceding 24 hours. At www.mypolicyhub.com, Wynne Health clients can easily retrieve any of the company’s analysis while having access to over 250 Congressional Research Service reports, a summary of each section of the ACA and its implementation status, a database of several hundred introductory issue primers, and more.
Wynne Health has also adopted a social enterprise model, committing to contribute at least five percent of profits to charities that provide health care services to those in need in accordance with its mission: to help people be healthy.
The Wynne Health Group is headquartered at 300 New Jersey Avenue, NW, in Washington, DC, offering close proximity to Congress, the White House, and Federal agencies. Additional offices are located in Denver, the Research Triangle, and Seattle.
Additional team members include Max Horowitz, J.D., former staff at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Taylor Cowey, who previously worked for the National Partnership for Women and Families; and Danielle Rohrbaugh, M.B.A., a seasoned business manager. New additions to the team are expected soon, with a continued emphasis on bipartisanship that founder Billy Wynne has maintained in his dozen-plus years of lobbying for health care clients.
